so. it's retreat time. no excuse me -- it's "spiritual challenge weekend" time. yeah. we're leaving tonight to go to bastrop state park and we'll be there till sunday. log cabins, lotsa teachings, praise and worship, a big lake, campfires, the works. the only part about it that will suck is that i have 3 tests next week, so i'll probably spend a good deal of the weekend studying. i would feel better about this too if i knew some of the girls that were going -- i mean if i really knew them. of course two of my sisters will be there and ange will be there but that's about it for people i really know. OH WELL. i'm going to try not to be shy, although everyone knows that's my weakness.
the other weird thing about this is the flyer that was made for the retreat. it actually was made by wyatt, who is my step-cousin-in-law. go on and try to figure that one out. he did a great job except that, as i pointed out to my dad, there are no mountains in bastrop. there aren't even any hills that i can recall. just pine trees and a lake. so anyone who looked at this flyer and therefore is expecting mountains is probably gonna be disappointed.
well i'm going to miss john a lot and in some ways i would almost rather just stay home for the weekend because i think i'm getting sick. instead i'm going to go clean out the church bus (aka our suburban), pack my junk, and maybe try to sleep a little bit before the chaos begins.
